:: yummy ::

Just got my stock of birds nest from MIL (Mum-In-Law), sent via Jason's bro. Specific instructions given to her son is that it's only for ME. :P Anyway, we've never seen a huge tupperware of birds nest before, and it's really quite "kao". It's not as sweet as she usually does for us, because she said I need to lessen my sugar intake. And also, I can't eat it chilled. So I have to wait for it to go down to room temperature before taking it. I am much grateful for the concern she's given me, through her son, telling me what to eat and what not to eat, and also preparing this delicious dessert. I hope I will never under-value birds nest in the future. Hahaha.

In fact, she has also been blessing us with lots of fruits as well. I never knew how expensive cherries are until just the other day I went to the mart to get some for myself as I was "craving" for it because my face had lots of pimples. :P

She usually buys in bulk (like one carton box), and she gives us in one big bag which can probably last us three to four days if we faithfully have it everyday. Also, her Pakistani mangoes are also the best so far I've eaten, super sweet! (sadly, I can't eat mangoes for the next few months or so, she said *sob sob*). Not to mention her sweet guavas (yep, we eat 'em with the seeds!), kiwis (sweet, huge kiwis). All these, we rarely buy it here because it's expensive, so we're really grateful for all these from her.

Thanks, MIL!

I don't usually take mine very sweet, and you should get your MIL to add some American ginseng in it...it's good for stamina. You can also add this thing called 'chin phui' (looks and taste like some kind of nut), that one is good for respiration
