Penguin

At 36 weeks, I'm getting heavier. Ok, my appetite has lessen a little BIT. But I realised I love sweet stuffs now. I guess this could be part of the myth that if you're carrying a girl, you'll have a sweet tooth, whereas if you're carrying a boy, you would prefer sour stuffs.

I am probably about 75kg now. +20kg altogether. Wow! I can never expect myself to be this heavy!! And yes, well, my face bloats ( my colleague mentioned that my face is so big!!) and my nose! And my fingers, and my toes, and my feet. Well, every part of me is bloated. Hahaha.

swollen feet!

But funny thing is, from the back, my colleague tells me can't really tell I'm preggie. Which is a no wonder why sometimes while walking on the pedestrian crossing, cyclist tend to ring to ask me get out of their way. Hello.. I'm heavily pregnant. What do you expect me to do? Hop off the street? Until when they pass me and give them that can't-you-see-I'm-super-preggie look? Then they felt sorry/guilty. Hehehe.

Other than that, I'm feeling the stress on my back now. It's so curved, that I need to more often than not, keep on standing and bending over to make sure my back goes straight for awhile. It helps relief the tension on my spine when I lean forward. Either that, before I sleep, I will be down on all fours with my back slightly arc outward to relief the strain on my back. Yup, we were taught all these during the ante-natal classes on relaxation methods.

WALKING is a huge task for me now. I have to walk about 5-6 mins every morning to the bus stop, wait for the bus, take the bus to work, and walk another 5-7 mins to my office. This super short distance is such a chore for me now. Hehehe.

In the office, my seating position. I've got a pillow support, and a leg support, thanks to my dear colleagues who improvised for me to elevate my feet while sitting. Even so, as I get heavier, I feel that the weight presses on my thighs/ legs that it sometimes gets numb! So, even at the office, I have to stand up every few minutes or so and lean fwd or walk to the toilet more often.

Well, don't say about nights. I can't stop drinking water even at nights because sometimes I feel my throat is dry, so I end up making an average of 3-4 visits per night to the loo. There goes my sleep. Disturbed. And when I do actually fall asleep is when I need to wake up to go to work. Hahaha.

I thank God next week is my last week of work so that I can have a good rest at home and prepare myself mentally :P

As for this weekend, yup, we will be going home for my next check up tomorrow. Can't wait to see Princess!
