A glimpse of Mt Fuji

In awe of HIS wonderful creation. I had the opportunity to get a glimpse of Mt Fuji en-route from Japan back to Singapore. A close colleague told us of this little tip: If you fly out of Tokyo Haneda International Airport, sit on the RIGHT side of the plane. Which means, row K (which is the window seat on the right side of the plane). About 30~40 minutes after take-off, you can see the one and only tip of the mountain which is hidden among the clouds. I was a little bit disappointed that it did not come, snow-capped as we always see on postcards and pictures. But this was more than I could ask for, because on most times, it is too cloudy to even catch a glimpse of the tip of the mountain.

Next trip back to Tokyo would definitely have to be a picture perfect moment with this much said mountain. I should not have my hopes up high though, as it is very rare to get a beautiful picture of this even for the locals.

Till then, Tokyo, till we meet again.
