My little Rojak

She is my little Rojak.
Just almost a month past 2 yo, she can:

- Recognise 70-80% of alphabets, and numbers 1-10. And continuing on her Enam, tujuh, etc until sepuluh.
- Her vocab is tremendous. Things that we thought she doesn't know, she will just blurt out the word.

Some snapshots of her updates from my FB. Just want to pen it down here. :)

14-May:
Was surprised to find out that Sara can recognise numbers this morning as we were on our way to nursery. :D

17-May:
At 6am this morn she suddenly wakes up and ask me to "make milk. Mummy pls make milk." so while daddy and mummy fights over who makes milk, i went down. Then she said, "big cup!!" so I made extra 2oz. Feels like McD's size up. :P
17-May:
To make Sara quickly sleep, I told her, "mummy count 1-5, u must close eyes, dont talk and sleep." so i counted till 5, in a whisper. She answered back in a whisper, 6,7,8,9,10!!! Another time she actually whispered, a,b,c,etc!!! Another time she actually recited the whole "1..5 once i caught a fish alive" in a whisper!!! Cheeky!!!
18-May:
Ra, Daddy is a?- man. Mummy is a? -Woman. Ahkong is a? -Man. Ahma is a? -Woman. Joel is a?- boy. Sara is a? At first she said girl. Correct. Then asked again, she said Jie jie! All the gals she calls them jie jie. Hahaha.
--> 20May update, she says that Sara is a girl... big girl.
20-May:
Daddy was talkin to Sara in Chinese yesterday and I wanted to carry her, when she just told me, "Bu Yao!" :S
21-May:
She sat down on the chair, she slapped her thighs and said, "pa...ha!" In the bathroom, she goes to the bath soap and says, "sabun". Haha. My lil rojak girl.
Just woke up. :)

Well, generally, I think she is learning and absorbing things fast from the kindy. And I'm still proud to say that though I'm a working mum, my child does not lag behind with those who are full time mummies who have ample time to teach their children personally. If not the same, perhaps better than some of them. (Can't help but being kiasu and blunt on this because I've had people coming to me and telling me why I chose to go back to the workforce and the pros about being SAHM - Well, just note that even how tired we are at times when we come back, at least besides kindy, at home, we still manage to spend time to teach her things. :)).

And I hope I can still manage even if I have more than one kid. :)
