Updates at 16+ weeks

Phew, it's been awhile since I am here.

Just to share on Sam's progress..

Weight:
Birth: 2.635kg
1mo: 3.1kg (+0.5kg)
2mo: 3.9kg (+0.8kg)
3mo: 5.0kg (+1.1kg)

Height:
Birth: 47cm
1mo: 54cm
2mo: 58cm
3mo: 60cm

Sam is still smaller compared to Sara in terms of physical development. But that is probably because Sam is a fully breastfed baby!

Soon, next Monday, he turns 4 months. That means, I have also been in my breastfeeding journey for 4 months! And that was how long I breastfed Sara.
I'm so glad that I'm given this opportunity to do so with Sam, and my initial target will be at 6mo. Anything beyond that will be a bonus.

Thank You Lord for a healthy and cheerful baby too! We are so so so blessed.

Sara on the other hand, is assuming her roles as the big sister pretty well.
Though many times she still seeks attention, but overall, she has matured much more and understand things around the house.

And did I say, she just loves her little brother to bits. Must talk and play with him when she wakes up as well as before she goes to bed.

And in everything, she always remembers the brother. I thank God for two wonderful blessings and bundles and bundles of joy in the home.

Also thank God for hubby who has been my pillar of strength in these trying times when I'm so bogged down with work and tiring to care for two kids without additional help.

Thank you Lord. :)

Updates!

Yeah, it's been almost a month since my last updates.

Alot of things happened in between. The house stuffs, (yup, first appt next week!) hopefully no more hiccups in the whole process.

Then, it was Sara's bout of eczema issue. Awhile it came, awhile it went off, so hubby brought her to see the specialist at Orchard Paragon. On treatment for her eczema and praying that she will be completely healed soon.

Then she also had her bout of diarrheoa. No one could understand why. But it's like off and on. Not sure because of the food she is taking outside. Hehehe. Teacher says she eats a lot. :/

Then at the same time, we're looking forward to Christmas! The long hols! And of course, a blessed new year, 2013!.

Exciting news awaits!

Settling In..

It's gonne be 4 weeks since we moved here. It was a bit messy and also rushed for us.

At the 2nd week: It has suddenly dawned on Sara that she misses Malacca. Each morning when she doesn't want to go to school, she would say she wants to go to Kimpoh's house, or Mama's house. :( Very sad. However, she is doing well in school, despite her cries (which are pretty normal to us because she behaves this way in Malacca too).

And also, Sara was down with cough, flu and fever in just 2 weeks here. I am glad, she managed to recover quickly and is back to her active self again.

We went back last weekend, with in laws as they came to fetch and send us back to Spore. We still have not gotten our ride yet. Thanks to them, but I somehow felt very tired too. My flu became worse on Wed and on Friday, I took MC again. In total, I was on MC for three days last week.

As I'm writing, I'm still not fully recovered yet. Sigh. The whole week, hubs has been doing car-hunting. Qiute tiring for him too. He is also adjusting to the workload that is given to him.

All in all, Sara's routine for this week (it gets pretty much better everyday, in her sense her tantrums):

*Mornings (7am++): Once Daddy and Mummy is ready, we will wake her up. Sometimes she wakes up on her own, wanting Mummy to carry.

*We then quickly pick her up and go off. (if there is time, will change her, or if she poos, will clean her and etc). We catch a bus outside the place. About 7 minutes to the MRT station. There, we wait for the company provided bus at 7.37am.

*We hop on the bus and we reach company by 7.50am. Usually we have breakfast in the cafeteria first before sending Sara to school which is just opposite the cafeteria. But these 2 days, we drop her off at school first before eating else she always make a fuss of not wanting to go to school as she can see it from the cafeteria. :)

*We have 2 buses with 2 pick up timings. So as much as I want to always pick her up on the 5.40pm bus, it's pretty rushed for me, so we take the 6.10pm. I pick her up before 6pm usually. I hope this can continue. Else, I can't bear to pick her up later than this. If we take the 5.40pm bus, we will take the train back after they drop us at MRT. Sometimes, not easy task to balance a 14kg toddler in your arms and 2 bags on you in a train. But I've mastered it. Muahaha. We should reach by 6 to 6.05pm. Else, if later, will be by 6.30pm.

*Then I quickly feed Sara her dinner, she has some fruits, watch some tvs or play with the Ipad, and I usually off the lights between 8.30-9pm. Most of the time, she will snooze before 9pm. :)

As time passes by, so far for this week, her tantrums and crankiness before bed time was much better. No cries or screaming or shouting. A vast difference between this week and last week. Mummy's proud of you gal.

And yes, good news, we just confirmed our ride! Hoping to get it by this weekend. Till, then, Happy Malaysia Day, everyone!

Ipad friend

Sara's Ipad friend, Hannah came to visit us over the weekend.
It was a pleasant surprise that the gals clicked rather well, though of course there were times there were not so cooperative together. So this was what they did over the weekend.

First met at Old Town Bkt Beruang. Held hands on the way back.

They played Lego together. Although there were times they couldn't give and take.

When one sits potty, the other wants to do it too. :)

Stopped and posed for the camera. :)

 Fed water to each other.

Jie Jie teaching Mei Mei how to play the Iphone. :)

A weekend well-spent... though it was tiring. Hehehe.

Cupping

I had a super stiff neck and knots in my veins. So since mum wanted to take Sara home for the night, I was wondering what I can do.

We went for massage. Initially I only wanted to do 1 hr foot massage which includes ten minutes shoulder massage. Then it became 1hr foot massage and half an hour shoulder massage. Then it became 2 hrs body massage but the lady concentrated on my upper body especially my shoulders.

Then she spoke to me in Chinese that I thought she said guasa, I agreed. But she came back and I heard clanging of glasses! Crap! She's gonna do cupping!!

Sigh. Cut long story short, the picture below is the effect of the cupping yesterday. Almost fainted.

Woohoo!

Ordered a bag from a friend of hubby's who is in London at the moment.

It's gonna burst my account for next month, but it's gonna be just a once in a lifetime thingy. No more branded bags after this. :P

Need to start saving for kid's education and also, a trip to a cold country so that Sara will have a chance to wear her cute little gloves I bought from Taiwan, before she outgrows them.

Daddy said, "If Mummy don't buy the bag, then maybe we can go somewhere". Yeah right. If Mummy don't buy anything, the money will not go for a trip to somewhere. Hehehe. :P

Ok, I hope the bag is in stock.

After Labour's Day

I am feeling so downcast today. Sigh. Hoping for some changes soon.

***********

Anyway, over the weekend when Sara was having fever, we discovered that she can now take medicine without the syringe. Just by the spoon. Clever girl!

***********
And on spicy food, Sara likes it. She will take one spoon of noodles, and drink a few gallons of water and so on. Until everything is finished. Yay, good that she likes spicy food cause we really want to train her up on that. :)

***********

We went to see Avengers 3D on Labour's Day yesterday! Love it! The effects, the line, and of course, the hot actors! Hehehe. Ah well, after such a long time of not watching a movie together, the last was the Club 81 movie day last year. It's so long that I can't even remember what movie we watched. :)
Till then, just checking to see how I'll feel for the rest of the week... bleh. :P

The Bersih Weekend

Yes, we were down in Spore over the weekend. We took leave on Friday, actually thinking of taking leave on Monday instead, so it will be a long weekend. We had a great time, though tiring and Sara suddenly came down with fever on Friday.

But I'm glad we came back yesterday. We had to do the laundry and wash the car yesterday because it was so dirty. Anyway, we managed to bring back the TV (already repaired, apparently the power board was spoilt) through the customs without any tax! Hooray!

Here are some pics of what we did/eat. :)

The houses there are absolutely beautiful!

She was recovering from her fever on Friday, and we went to see A. Charis. Supposed to see Dex, but didn't manage to as she was too tired.

This double dose of brownies were on half price because we ate in Cafe Cartel till it was past 9pm. So all cakes are off at 50% after 9pm. Very, very good deal!

Finally, I get to meet Valerie!

And again, just in time for Fox kids sales again at Sengkang mall. I got a sweater for Sara, as we're going to Frasers in June. :)

Very pretty Hello kitty Crocs sandals bought by my MIL in Hongkong. It costs HKD 300 (About RM150)!! Gosh. Anyway, thanks, Ah Ma.

So there we go.. our weekend.. gone, just like that.. :)

And, I'm so proud of you guys who made it to Berish 3.0!

Tax, tax, tax...

I've finally paid my taxes. Burnt a hole in my pocket. Terrible. Need to find more to reduce my taxes next year. For one, maybe to get Sara signed up for the SSPN. Hehehe.. And buy insurance for her as well. :)

Oh well... life's like that...

The Land of the Rising Sun

Yes, I have always, well, we, hubby and I have always wanted to visit Japan.. so much. But things always just didn't happen. First probably will be the finance, and then comes the dates (we are not sure where we will be at that time), and thirdly, the tour group we book is always FULL.

I am pretty blessed, that ever since I came back to this position back in Melaka, I have had the chance to travel. Most often than not, it will be Singapore. And I went back to Taiwan again and then last week, JAPAN!

I can't tell you how excited I was to be and to step foot in Japan. It's probably like a dream came true. (You may ask me, why not Europe or something?) Well, at least I know the dream to go to Japan is achievable in the near future.

And so, the journey began, and I have been planning this trip since a month plus before the actual fly-off date. The purpose of me going there is that I handle audits for my suppliers, and we have a schedule. So after liaising with my suppliers (they are very hospitable and they try to make our stay a pleasant one).

And my local hosts said that we came at the right time! A week before it was still very cold (below 10deg) and a week later, the sakuras (cherry blossoms) will drop off. We came right smack in the middle of the sakura blooming season and on the day we left Japan, they officially announced that the sakura season is over. :)) Let the pictures tell you the highlights of my one week stay here. 10th-15th Apr.

My first Sakura experience. It's everywhere and so beautiful. Love it much!

My first Shin-kan-sen (bullet/ super speed train) experience. Ok, probably not the first because I sat once in Taiwan from Taichung to Taoyuan. :P But it was amazing! Was partially disappointed because I didn't get to see Mt. Fuji as it was drizzling and the skies were full of mist and clouds. :(

Experiencing life in one of the world's most expensive cities and also their pace of life. (Crazy, I tell you!)
Not to mention, going through their rail system is so complicated, but it gets easier when you actually sit down and start studying the routes. :)

The exotic foods and all the sashimi and mochis and ramen!!! where I have always been eating elsewhere but not in Japan. This time, it came true. Ahhh... bliss!

And the biggest highlight of the trip is to fulfill my childhood dreams.. Disney! If I could cry, I would cry when I actually reached the entrance of Disneysea. :P

Well, despite all the highlights during my Japan trip, I was also missing home terribly... my girl and also hubby. I will definitely bring Sara to have that Disney experience.. and we might start her off with HK Disneyland first. Wooppiiiee!

Till then, till my next travel post.. which might not be too soon. :P

Wassup this week

Sara was down with flu, followed by fever.
After seeing the doc, she actually has a throat infection. Poor girl.
Her stats on 10March, weighs 12kg and stands at 87cm. (lost weight :()

I was supposed to send her to the doc on Monday, but ended up I had to go the docs myself.
Why?
I slipped and fell in the toilet and my left foot hit smack into the base of the toilet bowl.
And I got my 2nd toe fractured. Takes 2 weeks to heal. :(
Sedih. No charity run this Sunday and I hope I don't limp to my parent's "wedding vows renewal ceremony."

Bla Bla Bla

Hoila!

I'm back, after a tiring weekend in the Lion City. Things might not turn out the way we want to, but nevertheless, I was grateful for the opportunity given.

And it was another milestone for Sara. She is soooo talkative now and her vocab proabably increased more over the weekend. She practically knows everything that we say and do, and even the things around us, we are surprised she knows it too.

We were staying over at a friend's place and this friend brought home a little kitten a couple of weeks ago. Just before this, Sara was terrified of cats. But she got better as the days went by. And by the end of 4 days there, she even plucked up the courage to carry and "sayang" the kitten! Bravo, my little one!

The first day, and she was still shy.

Before we went home, she held the kitten! yay! So proud of her!

Once we got home, we found our tv was not showing up. The screen just went black out and we could only hear the audio. Sara kept asking "Where? Where?". We ended up with the Ipad so that she can sit still while I feed her dinner.

Hubby took this opportunity to be an engineer this time, disassembled the tv and trying to fix things up.

If the repair is gonna cost much, then another reason for a new tv. But then again, probably not so soon. After we settle down, I guess.

Till then, till the next update in our family.. :)

It's been a while

Since we last update about what's happening in the SeeLee family. :)

Work was taking a toll on me, with issues happening day after day, and I must say, I did lose a wee bit of weight then. :)

Next up was my biz trip to Taiwan! A much awaited trip though I have to do much preparation in advance. But nevertheless, I enjoyed the weather there. :)

The highlights for the trip is that this time around, I was literally treated like a VIP. Stayed in 4-5 stars hotel and we went everywhere by car. We were treated for almost every meal too. (very good Jap food!!)

Besides the usual Feng Jia night mart fenzy and the pearl tea fenzy, the other new place I went to was Yang Ming Shan National Park to see the start of the cherry blossoms! :)

It was a wet weather, not to mention very cold (<6degC), and windy! (about 16kmph). The rain was too heavy for the poor flowers to hold, so it drooped. :(

So till then, I will always have Taiwan close to my heart. <3 :)

What's up?

Yes, we are in the midst of so many things, work, Sara and all that, at the same time wanting to have a change and settle down.

Things have not been going so smoothly for us, but other than that, we are still grateful and we thank God for all His abundant blessings upon us thus far. He has seen us through thick and thin, and He never forsook us.

We just want to press on and keep on praying for greater things to come.

Huat ah!

Travel-ing

We have been traveling... yes. Alot.
So here are some of the updates:

We were in Penang, end of Nov.

Pretty decors at Straits Quay, a new happening place in Penang...

Sara's first time on the ferry... :)

Too tired! LOL

The famous Ayer Itam asam laksa at the market!! Slurp!

Next up, Spore, in Mid Dec.

Brightly colored streets! Love the decor and Sara was blur I think with all the lights.

Hello, Kitty!

@ TCC, family pic at the Christmas tree.. :)

Of course not to mention the good Jap food we had. Hehehe.

Till then, we will be in Malacca for Christmas. Blessed Christmas, all!
