Cupping

I had a super stiff neck and knots in my veins. So since mum wanted to take Sara home for the night, I was wondering what I can do.

We went for massage. Initially I only wanted to do 1 hr foot massage which includes ten minutes shoulder massage. Then it became 1hr foot massage and half an hour shoulder massage. Then it became 2 hrs body massage but the lady concentrated on my upper body especially my shoulders.

Then she spoke to me in Chinese that I thought she said guasa, I agreed. But she came back and I heard clanging of glasses! Crap! She's gonna do cupping!!

Sigh. Cut long story short, the picture below is the effect of the cupping yesterday. Almost fainted.

Leopard preeenz

We are invited to a dinner where leopard preenz is the theme. Initially I was just thinking of getting a romper for Sara with these preeenz (no, I don't have any types of animal preeenz clothings). I got a friend to help me find, and she found this. Obviously I'm not gonna buy this cause it's rather ex, but hmm.. fancy wearing a mother and daughter suit... quite pretty, eh?

Kitchen is done!

Our kitchen is finally completed after some touch ups by the plumber just now. Yes, I know, it's just a simple kitchen but you must know, it means a lot to us because for the past one year since we came back from Spore, our kitchen is terrible! As you can see from the before and after look of it. Hehehe.

Just to give a rough estimation of damaged done:
Kitchen cabinets: RM 3100
Granite table top: RM 2000
Sink bowl: RM 560
Tap head: RM 227
Filter: RM 1750.
Plumbing; RM 150
Electrical points: RM 200
Total: RM 7987.

The sink and tap head and filter "sync" well together nicely. :) I love the deep bowl set that it makes washing easier. :)

Water filter

We just wanted to get a better filter, and we ended up with this: Panasonic Alkaline Ionizer TK-AS40.
It was recommended by our regular electrical shop, and she gave a discount off to RM1750. :)
Apparently, this alkaline water is pretty famous when we did a survey with some of our friends. Oh well, I hope this is a good investment. After all, I do not want to have too clean water, else my tummy will react to it. We do need some bacterias to build up our immune system, don't we? Hehehe.

The cabinets are almost done up! Waiting for the cleaners to come in today and the plumber to come in tomorrow to fix the tap head and the filter, and we're done. Planning to have breakfast at home from now on. Hopefully can eat healthily. :)

 

Sinking...

It's kitchen sink. Haha. I thought shopping for kitchen sink would be easy.. but it's NOT!.

Besides getting the best quality and reasonably priced one, we actually had to do some research on the way it should be mounted.

So since KL was having this Home Decor thingy and hubby's friend got most of his stuffs there at a very discounted price, we are getting this. Sorento SRTKS 2029. Retail price is RM800. One of the cheapest Sorento we saw so far. Most are above RM1k. :S. Well, the discounted price is RM560.

It comes with a free tap head, but there will be discounts if you get their tapheads as well. So as usual, hubby chose the ex one. According to friend, this is much stable, sturdier than the free one. This is Sorento  SRTWT9306. Retail prices is RM440! (Can you believe, just a tap head and it's soooo expensive!) Discounted price is RM227.

The total should be RM1240. But we end up paying RM787. RM453 cheaper! Woohoo!

Sigh. Doing just the lower part of the kitchen cabinet is already quite ex. Mainly because our kitchen is slightly longer than the normal kitchens, so additional materials and cost. But nevertheless, can't wait! I can have proper work table to put my things properly and also proper cabinets to store my nonsense! :)

Prayer...

I was reading my Utmost for His Highest on 7-Aug and this paragraph came alive to me.

Think about your own circumstances. Are you so closely identified with the Lord’s life that you are simply a child of God, continually talking to Him and realizing that everything comes from His hands? Is the eternal Child in you living in His Father’s house? Is the grace of His ministering life being worked out through you in your home, your business, and in your circle of friends? Have you been wondering why you are going through certain circumstances? In fact, it is not that you have to go through them. It is because of your relationship with the Son of God who comes, through the providential will of His Father, into your life. You must allow Him to have His way with you, staying in perfect oneness with Him.

The life of your Lord is to become your vital, simple life, and the way He worked and lived among people while here on earth must be the way He works and lives in you.

Hubs and I have been wrestling with each other, family and God on whether should we go back to Spore for good. Main reason is because our PR will be expiring end of next year, and in the current situation, the Spore govt is not giving PR status easily anymore. In fact, with more stringent criteria compared when were there back in 2007.

Because of our lacksidal attitude, we still have not gone down on our knees to pray for His ultimate direction in our lives, and in our family. And reading this, really is causing a stir in my heart. I have to come to term with myself that we would be here in our homeland for good. If that is so, dear Lord, please calm my restless heart and grant me peace.

It is nearing 10months since I came back, and I just do not have the peace of mind to stay back here. Yes, it's true that if we went back, we will have to strife for everything in our lives over there. But then again, spiritually, I think that we might grow stronger and serve well there.

Either way, dear Lord, please lay the paths before us, and show us Your ways... that peace that surpasses through all understanding might come into our hearts. Amen.

Countdown

1 month more to go before our hols. Woohoo! Can't wait. But at the same time, having a heavy heart leaving my baby back. But I guess, it's a good thing for both hubby and I. Since the pregnancy, then birth, then the first 15mo, has been a stressful time for us. We just need some time out.

No. Don't get me wrong. This will NOT be a baby-moon. Haha.

Lost....

Hubby lost his phone as he accidentally left his phone in the toilet. Barely 15 mins, and someone took it.

I can still remember we had to queue 2 hrs for the phone.

We checked with the cleaners, the time does not match. Checked with security, no cctv to replay. And the irony part is, at the level of his office, mostly are engineer level. Are they that desperate?

He felt down the whole day. His phone was like a part of him. We felt that if this were to happen in Spore, the phone would still be around even if it's overnight. Sigh. We forgot, if this doesn't happen, then it's not Malaysia. Sad case right? How can the person stoop so low? There was nothing much personal in the phone except for some of his datas and Sara's pics, mostly. Thank God! Anyway, I think the person who stole it will probably have some difficulty to use the phone.. unless he/she can break the phone passcode. :)

And yesterday was not a good day either. Many things happened, and now, I'm also indirectly reaching a crossroad with him.

I guess losing the phone was a blessing in disguise. God wants us to spend time in seeking for His directions for our lives, and lives as a family. Hehehe.

On the brighter side, hubs said now he has a reason to get an Ipad or wait for Iphone5. :S

Change

It's been a while since I last wrote. Have been busy, very busy at work lately. More projects, higher expectations, and more portfolios. I don't know if I should be happy because more job and workload means the boss is happy with my performance or what. But yes, my boss have been telling me that I'm a fast learner, I pick up things very very fast, compared to the other two who just came in. Sometimes I think I should slow down too. It's super TIRING. I can't go on like this. I come back, DEAD tired, and I hardly have time to play with Sara or spend time with her, and then it's time for her bed time. (Yes, her sleeping time is between 9-10pm).

Deep in my heart, I do want to stay at home and be a mum. :) But then, I'm not sure when will be that time. Or rather, when can I let go of the corporate life and the income it brings. But I'm glad, that I get to see Sara back home everyday. She's such a joy in our lives. Just pray that hubby's little biz brings a steady income that can enable me to stay at home, without compromising the things that we want to give our children.

Anyway, am glad that hubby will finally be back in Melaka for the week as he'll be working in Infineon in the beginning of May. At least, we can share the "burden" of caring for Sara TOGETHER.

And most excitingly, I just can't wait for Sara's birthday dinner. It's just a simple do at our humble home, but we're excited because we get to share it with our close friends. Our house is literally "empty" and not fully furnished or renovated like others, but it's just the thought of having friends coming over and sharing and celebrating together with us. Thanks Abs and Ken for helping me in the planning and logistics. *hugs*

Funnily enough, with all the preparation and what nots, I felt that as though it's my own birthday party. Probably because I just wanted to give the best to Sara even though young she may be, but next time when she looks in the photo, she knows that Mummy and Daddy do care for her and wants the best for her. We didn't have anything during her full moon, so this is two in one. :)

I just love Avent stuffs. Did I tell you that? Hahaha.

Here's my first try with the steamer/ blender combo! I love it!!! It's so simple to use, you still get to taste every bit of the vegetable or things that you steam, and it blends so smooth just nice for Sara!

One more day...

As you can see from the pic, Sara is oblivious that she's going home to Malacca tomorrow... for good. Somehow, not sure if she felt it but she kept looking around the house as of yesterday. A. Linda also observed that. She likes to pout her lips as though she knows she's gonna miss this place. If she doesn't. I will. Sigh. Life goes on. I just pray and hope that I can adjust back to working life after 7 months of staying at home. :)
